The LTD GB-4 offers a set of professional performance tools in a completely cool future-retro design.

The GB-4 is a standout model in the LTD series of basses, distinguished by its powerful and versatile electronics. It features a combination of passive Seymour Duncan SSB-4 pickups and Duncan’s STC-3M3 active EQ. This setup allows you to shape your tone with stacked treble and bass controls, as well as a dedicated midrange control. Additionally, the volume knob includes a push-pull feature that activates the GB-4’s slap switch, which provides a special EQ contour tailored specifically for slap bass techniques.

The circuit board also includes trim pots that can be adjusted to set the slap EQ contour to your preference. The sound produced by this pickup and preamp combination is massive—beefy and round, with excellent articulation on the low end. This makes it especially suitable for bass players who downtune.

The GB-4 offers very sturdy 5-bolt construction, with a swamp ash body and maple neck that has killer block inlays on the fingerboard. Pro-quality components include a solid Gotoh bridge with brass saddles that allows for both standard and string-thru-body setups. Its neck profile is slim, allowing for fast, precise performances.
