The ebony fretboard sports a compound radius, with 24 extra-jumbo frets. The thin C-profile maple and padauk neck allows for effortless string bending and speedy, precise picking. A 25.5" scale adds the perfect level of string tension for dropped-D (and lower) tunings.

Apocalypse VI humbuckers make for screeching leads and raucous rhythms, a perfect recipe for modern metal tone. They crush the midrange, but maintain a tight, focused and articulate response which works well for neo-classical styles, too. Plus, a push/pull tone control gives you more sonic options for single-coil sounds.
