Description
The Taylor 314 acoustic guitar features Taylors versatile Grand Auditorium shape, famous for being a perfect fit for just about any style of music. The combination of a solid Sitka spruce top, Sapele back and sides, and V-Class bracing produce a sound that has a balanced tone and even projection across the entire fingerboard. Other appointments include a gloss top, satin back and sides, genuine West African ebony fingerboard, bridge, and headplate, and nickel tuners. A Taylor Deluxe Hardshell case is included for maximum protection.
Body Shape
A Taylor original, the Grand Auditorium helped establish the Taylor acoustic sound. The popular body style makes for a versatile guitar that yields ample volume in response to light fingerpicking and reacts to medium strumming and flatpicking with a clear, balanced sound across the tonal spectrum. If you want a great all-purpose guitar, the Grand Auditorium is an excellent choice.
Tonewood Pairing
Sitka spruce is the most prevalent guitar top wood of the modern era. It blends stiffness and elasticity in just the right proportions, which translates into broad dynamic range with crisp articulation. The sapele back and sides provide a consistent balanced output, like the tone of mahogany, with a slightly brighter top-end shimmer.
