Fishman MX-T Pickup System Provides Endless Tonal Options

At the heart of the Martin SCE Custom Road Series Koa is the Fishman MX-T pickup system. With simple, intuitive controls for volume, tone and pickup blend, you have the power to dial in the perfect sound for any song or venue. Want crisp, shimmering highs? Roll off the bass and boost the treble. Need a full, rounded tone to fill a concert hall? Increase the bass, cut the mids and blend in more of the soundboard transducer. The possibilities are endless.

Koa Fine Veneer Back and Sides Produce a Rich, Complex Voice

The Martin SCE Custom Road Series Koa features Koa Fine Veneer back and sides, which provide a lush, resonant tone with overtones of rosewood. Koa is a traditional Hawaiian tonewood prized for its beauty and tonal properties. When crafted into an acoustic guitar, it yields a warm, balanced sound with articulate lows, sweet mids and airy highs. The koa back and sides are complemented by a Sitka spruce top and ebony fingerboard and bridge, resulting in a rich, complex voice with shimmering highs and a throaty midrange.

Low Profile Velocity Neck Profile Accommodates All Playing Styles

Featuring the Sure Align neck system, which gives you full access to all frets so you can comfortably reach those high notes, this Martin is super comfortable to play. Its also equipped with a low-profile velocity neck barrel that ergonomically accommodates your hand as you move up the neck, giving you the comfort and playability of an electric. The High-Performance Taper provides flexibility and control, allowing fast runs, stretches and position shifts. Combined with a 25.4" scale length, this versatile neck profile enables any playing style.

Premium Appointments and Styling

From its black and white aperture rosette inlay and ebony headplate, fingerboard and bridge, and black tuners and knobs, the Martin SCE Custom Road Series Koa exudes craftsmanship. The included deluxe gig bag has padded straps, backpack straps and ample storage for accessories. Overall, this instrument delivers the premium design and high-quality components that Martin Guitars is renowned for.
