Ibanez SR306EB Bass Guitar - Weathered Black
The Ibanez SR306EB Bass Guitar in Weathered Black is the six-string sibling of the popular SR300E series bass guitar, offering extended range power at an affordable price. Whether you're completely new to the instrument, making the leap from a 4- or 5-string model, or are a seasoned pro looking for workhorse that oozes sophistication, then the SR306EB is the perfect choice. Employing over 30 years of experience in building and perfecting the SR series of models, this unique spot run model has been afforded the same due care and attention as models bearing a significantly higher price tag.
The SR306EB body is constructed using mahogany, a tonewood that gives the bass a lightweight feel that is combined with a confident midrange energy. The slender body depth creates a delightful figure-hugging playing feel, whilst the deep double cutaways guarantee easy access to the upper frets.
A 5-piece maple and rosewood SR6 neck is firmly joined to the body. The neck has a smooth feel and a profile that promotes much faster playability. The advantage of having a 5-piece neck is that it has additional strength to withstand plenty of action. Married to the neck is a rosewood fingerboard with 24 medium frets that are adorned with white dot position inlays to guide your way. The neck and fingerboard partnership enhances sustain so that each and every note rings out perfectly.
The SR306EB is fitted with the all-new PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups. PowerSpan pickups have stainless steel poles which are exposed, and this enhances the overall output and sonic purity. The pickups have a much stronger signal which enables them to balance out both the low and high frequencies without losing out on either. These dual coils allow the SR306EB to produce an incredibly articulate universe of tones.
The SR306EB also features Ibanez Custom electronics with a 3-band EQ and 3-way Power Tap switch. These work in conjunction with one another to provide you with full control over your sound. The Power Tap switch offers Tap Mode, Series Mode and Power Tap Mode. These give you single-coil to humbucker pickup style tones, or you can merge the two for a real m
